When can I get access to my APT Travelmarvel Contemporary ship cabin?

For Europe River cruises, the vessels are available for early boarding upon your arrival. Luggage can be stored at reception, and passengers have access to the main lounge. Cabin check-in is available from 3pm.

What is the dress code onboard APT Travelmarvel?

All APT Travelmarvel cruises are relaxed. However, if you would like to dress up for dinner, then we would say that only what you would wear to a restaurant at home is required. If there is also a gala meal on board, but again, this is still smart casual.

Is Tipping included on my APT Travelmarvel river cruise?
Tipping is included for all APT operated tours.

What if I have special dietary requirements?
Please ensure you advise APT during your booking process if you or any of your travelling companions have special dietary needs or requests. We aim to cater for all requests which are advised at the time of making your booking.

Will there be onboard entertainment?
With a range of acts to suit different tastes, live entertainment on your ship guarantees there is never a dull moment. The resident onboard entertainers will elevate your evenings so you can relax with a drink and enjoy some live music. You can also expect performances by local acts as well as a range of activities. What’s more, new Infotainment systems allow you to watch it all from the comfort of your suite.

Will I have a safe and a mini-fridge in my river cruise stateroom?
Each stateroom and suite features an en suite bathroom and personal climate control; great storage; queen or twin bedding with plush linen; plus a TV, safe and mini-fridge.

Will there be ways of staying active whilst on my river cruise?
An onboard fitness room, whirlpool, putting green and walking track are available for those wanting to keep up their fitness. Bicycles are also available on board and are free to use for onshore excursions. You might like to cycle around one of the many picturesque European villages or head to a local vineyard for a leisurely picnic.

What is the currency onboard ship?
All prices and bills are in euros

Is it fixed seating in the main dining room?
No.  The APT Travelmarvel formal dining room has an open seating policy; reserved seating is not available.

Are there tables for two?
The tables in the formal dining room vary in size from 4 upwards to 8

Can I get my washing done on board?
Yes we do have laundry services including ironing at a cost, no dry cleaning however.

Are soap and shampoo included in the bathrooms?
Yes, there are complimentary toiletries in all bathrooms.

Is there a lift to the sundeck?
No, the ship needs to fit under the locks so the lift doesn’t go up to the top sun deck, on the new TM ships do have a sunken part of the sun deck so passengers can actually stay on the deck as we go through. (The Contemporary Ships have elevator access to all decks except the sun deck which is accessible via internal and external stairs)

Is there a waiter bar service to the sundeck?
Yes, there is a bar service if weather permits and when appropriate
The Sky Deck Terrace & Bar located on the lower Sundeck is open every day!

Is there a captains gala or farewell dinner?
It varies on different itineraries however on most itineraries there is a gala dinner either at the beginning or end of the cruise. Please check the website.

Is wi-fi available on the APT Travelmarvel ships?
Free Wi-Fi facilities will be available throughout the Travelmarvel ships (BYO portable devices) and/or there are free internet stations. Internet connectivity is not guaranteed as the ship is sailing and the signal may be intermittent.

Will there be entertainment and activities onboard the Travelmarvel Ships?
There is a dedicated entertainment and activities coordinator on board the TM Contemporary ships.

Are there bikes available to use on the APT Travelmarvel European ships?
Yes, there are a limited number of bikes (approximately 20) available on the Travelmarvel ships to use when they are moored in town, it is a first come first serve basis. Locks and helmets can also be provided.

Is there a mini Bar on APT Travelmarvel Ships?
On TM Ships only there is a small bar fridge in all cabins. Bar fridges are fully-stocked upon request but all items will be at guests’ own expense. They can also be used to store medicine or other goods that need to be refrigerated.
