Fly from the UK and arrive in Munich, where you will be met and transferred to your river ship in Nuremberg.
Day 2 - Nuremberg
Explore Nuremberg, the site of Hitler’s infamous rallies. Wander the cobblestone streets, discovering hidden boutiques and artisan stores. Finish your day cruising through the Main-Danube Canal, crossing Europe’s Continental Divide thanks to the canal’s 16 stair-step locks.
Day 3 - Regensburg (New Year's Eve)
Dock in Regensburg this morning. Here, wander along its cobblestone lanes, taking a journey through the ages as you explore the historic streets, medieval buildings and cultural sites on your guided walking tour.
Tonight, bid farewell to 2025 and enjoy an authentic Bavarian experience on board as you sample local beer and snacks, accompanied by traditional folk music, song and dance.
Day 4 - Passau & Linz (New Year's Day)
On this New Year’s Day morning, arrive in the ‘Three Rivers City’ of Passau, where the rivers Inn and Ilz join the Danube. Join an optional tour to Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, or travel to Salzburg and enjoy the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Linz.
Enjoy a fascinating day excursion to the city of Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, home to more than 300 historical buildings.
Depart from Passau to Salzburg and enjoy a tour of the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’, including the famous Wedding Church.
Day 5 - Melk, Dürnstein
Dock in Melk and join a local guide for a tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089. This magnificent abbey is home to around two dozen practising monks.
Later, cruise through the Wachau Valley to Dürnstein, the town overlooked by the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned back in 1192.
Day 6 - Vienna
Embrace the splendour and elegance of Vienna today on a walking tour that takes you past St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Graben, Hofburg Palace and the Albertina.
This evening, celebrate your river cruise with a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.
Day 7 - Budapest
Spend a relaxing morning onboard as you sail through Hungary. After lunch onboard, you’ll arrive in the heart of Budapest, where the history and beauty of the city is illuminated by a local guide.
Day 8 - Budapest, Disembark
Disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your onward flight to the UK.

The large Sun Deck offers space to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the passing scenery. Perhaps take a dip in the whirlpool, practice your putting or take a drink at the outdoor Bar. One great new feature of these ships is the large Sky Deck Terrace. At half a deck lower than the rear Sun Deck this area is accessible even when passing through locks and under bridges – particularity useful on cruises that pass along the Main river and Main Danube Canal.
Staterooms and suites on the middle and upper decks feature floor to ceiling windows, that drop down to create a French (Juliette) balcony at the touch of a button. All have personal climate control, en-suite bathrooms, double or twin beds and TV, safe and mini-fridge.
