Day 2 - Budapest
Awake to views of one of the Danube’s most enchanting cities this morning. Disembark and learn the vibrant history of Budapest as your local guide takes you to a host of impressive sights.
Afterwards, get into the festive spirit with a visit to two of the city’s charming Christmas markets.
Back on board this evening, enjoy a delightful Gala Welcome Dinner while you cruise.
Day 3 - Vienna (Christmas Eve)
Take in Vienna’s Ringstrasse, plus enjoy a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral.
Afterwards, wander through the Christmas markets and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two. As the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread fills the wintry air, you’ll come to realise that the festive season in Europe is nothing short of magical
Day 4 - Dürnstein & Melk (Christmas Day)
Celebrate a magical Christmas Day in the town of Durnstein and enjoy a stroll past rustic town houses and taverns.
Along the way, gaze up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Cruise through the Wachau Valley to Melk.
Later tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089.
Day 5 - Aschach & Passau
Perhaps join an optional tour to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, or travel to Salzburg and enjoy the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Passau. This evening, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.
Tonight, enjoy a traditional Bavarian experience on board. Sample delicious local beer and snacks, accompanied by traditional folk music, song and dance.
Day 6 - Regensburg
Continue along the Danube River to Regensburg, located in the Bavarian region of southern Germany. Here, join a guided tour of the city’s historic streets, medieval buildings, and cultural sites.
Day 7 - Nuremberg
Take a city tour this afternoon, which includes sights such as the Zeppelin Field and the Palace of Justice. Afterwards explore Nuremberg further at leisure.
Day 8 - Nuremberg, Disembark Ship
After breakfast today, disembark your ship in Nuremberg and be transferred to the airport in Munich for your onward flight to the UK.

The large Sun Deck offers space to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the passing scenery. Perhaps take a dip in the whirlpool, practice your putting or take a drink at the outdoor Bar. One great new feature of these ships is the large Sky Deck Terrace. At half a deck lower than the rear Sun Deck this area is accessible even when passing through locks and under bridges – particularity useful on cruises that pass along the Main river and Main Danube Canal.
Staterooms and suites on the middle and upper decks feature floor to ceiling windows, that drop down to create a French (Juliette) balcony at the touch of a button. All have personal climate control, en-suite bathrooms, double or twin beds and TV, safe and mini-fridge.
